THE INSTEP SHOW
The biggest event of second term is Instep's annual show. This is a chance for all those who attended weekend classes to showcase what they have been working on throughout the year. Each class performs a dance as do the competition teams. Everyone is welcome to join in and there is also the opportunity for people to perform their own solos, duets and trios. This is a great chance to see what everyone else has been working on throughout the year and an opportunity for your friends and family to come and see you dance!
After such an uncertain year of fluctuating Covid-19 restrictions, we were delighted to present the Instep Showcase 2021. Following Zoom and socially-distanced classes throughout the year, the show reminded us how much we love dancing onstage together - and how proud we are of Instep.
RECONNECT was our largest show yet, involving 165 dancers encouraging the audience to reconnect with the environment and our planet, in 35 dances. We raised a fantastic £938.81 allowing us to donate £500 to our chosen charities.
Unstoppable was a truly unforgettable show for Instep, celebrating the theme of empowerment through the art of dance. With more than 10 different styles, the show was packed with so much diversity, creativity and sheer talent, allowing our dancers to showcase their full potential in front an audience.
COME FLY WITH ME!
Come Fly With Me was based around the theme of travel featuring track like the Virgin America Safety Song, Havana and a Chicago medley. With over 100 dancers this was one of our best shows ever! It was made extra special by some very important guests; two of the original founders came to support us!
Technicolour was one of our biggest ever shows! All the dances were based on the theme of colour, with either the song or the artist of the music being related to colour. The show also featured performances from the competition teams and Troupe.
